Connecting New England Communities

Every year, when we are not engaged in planning or execution of Durga Puja, we strive to ensure the patrons and members get access to various networking and community events. While there are other informal ways we stay connected throughout the year, below are some notable past events focused on cultural, religious and regional themes.

I have been attending Durga Puja events at Durga Bari for quite a few years. It has been a very satisfying and pleasurable experience. The organizers and volunteers are always pleasant to the visitors and provide support to those who may need so. No one goes back with unhappy experiences. All this is provided without any pressure of mandated subscription. They all work very hard to make this a successful event. We wish them a great success years to come

BDB is one of the most coveted Durga Puja which happens on the exact dates as per Panjika for five days. It’s non-ticketed but you still get delicious food and free entertainment. I always want to visit and meet my friends there

Since coming to the US 8 years ago, I have missed home during the Pujas. And in search for some semblance of home, I have been all around the Northern East Coast Pujas. However, the moment I stepped into the BDB pandal for the first time, I was transported back to the “para’r pandal” back home. Here, I found a community that was accepting, welcoming, and nostalgically familiar. So this is my home for the Pujas now

BDB Annual Picnic, 2022

Meet up in Colt State Park, RI July 17th, 2022

Natok/Theater, 2022 by Off-Kendrik

Earlier this year, we got to experience a colorful, diverse ensemble presented by Off-Kendrik’s “Ekti Abhinaba Natoker Mohora (In search of a novel play)” – An original, absurd, dark comedy that is a scathing commentary on current humankind.
 
The play was in Bengali with English supertitles. It was presented on June 4th and 5th at Cambridge Multicultural Center, MA. More details and future events available at http://www.offkendrik.com
