She has played a vital role in Durgabari’s growth from a small South Shore club to a prominent Massachusetts nonprofit serving the South Asian Indian community. She’s deeply committed to the organization’s mission of fostering community unity and development.
Debdeep Roy
Treasurer
By day, Debdeep is a management professional; evenings find him as a devoted husband and father, and weekends, a social butterfly. He’s committed to ensuring sustainable income for Boston Durgabari. A finance enthusiast, he delves into the financial well-being of his Fortune 100 clients and other organizations he advises. In addition to his role as Treasurer, he spearheads community outreach, marketing, and PR for BDB
SIddharth Dutta
Secretary
In the early 2000s, Siddharth, a Mumbai native, pursued his Engineering Master’s in New York, inspired by the Y2K wave. Despite challenges, he upheld Bengali traditions, serving on Durga Puja committees even in California. Now in Massachusetts, he preserves cultural heritage through Boston Durgabari while juggling engineering and cricket. A sitar enthusiast taught by his father, Siddharth hopes to play again

As a software engineer, avid traveler, and proud father of two, I’m passionate about food, people, and culture. From my early days as a reader, I’ve sought to live the stories by connecting with people and communities, sharing in their food, music, and culture. Originally from Kolkata, India, I’ve found a home in Boston Durga Bari for nearly a decade, blending my Bengali roots with the American dream.

Madhubani Ghosh

Originally from Kolkata, India, Dr. Madhubani (Bani) Ghosh has made Massachusetts her home since 2000. With a Ph.D. in Economics from Victoria University, Australia, she’s now Professor and Department Chair of International Maritime Business at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, deeply invested in her students’ success. As a board member of Boston Durgabari Inc., she actively supports community development initiatives, aligning with the organization’s mission.
Padmini Dey
Director
Padmini is an IT professional with 17+ years of experience and the Founder/Artistic Director of Padmini Dance Academy, recognized for her Bharatanatyam and Bollywood choreography. As a Board Member of Boston Durgabari, she leads the Cultural Department, promoting heritage and unity. A winner of the Mrs. Bharat New England Pageant, she is also a passionate advocate for equality and a devoted mother.
Mitesh Soni
Vice President
Meet Mitesh, Vice President of Boston Durgabari and an accomplished IT professional. Beyond tech, he’s a natural leader in event management, known for bringing people together and creating memorable experiences. With strong negotiation skills and a knack for impromptu speaking and emceeing, Mitesh effortlessly hosts events and captivates audiences. He also enjoys photography and volleyball.
Sharobi Dutta

Proudly representing the “American Born Confused Desi” clan, raised by Bangladeshi parents in Canada and America, I’m committed to instilling cultural values in the next generation. Settled in Massachusetts with my husband, we’re deeply involved in Boston Durga Bari’s mission to honor Maa Durga and inspire youth to carry on tradition.
