Durga Puja, a vibrant Indian festival, is eagerly anticipated with great fervor and excitement. Celebrated over ten days, it marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura. Elaborate pandals (temporary structures) are crafted, showcasing artistic themes and intricate decorations. Devotees immerse themselves in prayers, rituals, and cultural performances, while the air reverberates with the beats of dhak drums and chants of religious hymns. The goddess, beautifully adorned, is worshipped with devotion and reverence. This auspicious occasion brings communities together, fostering unity and joy.
Durga Puja 2024, celebrated by Boston Durga Bari, promises to be a magnificent spectacle, blending tradition, spirituality, and cultural splendor. Location for this year: 39 Kilby St, Hingham, MA (Son’s of Italy).

Who we are
After 13 successful years of hosting Durga Puja and connecting New England communities, Boston Durga Bari welcomes you to yet another fun-packed five-day long event. As usual, our goal is to foster an open and collaborative platform for patrons to connect at various levels. This sense of camaraderie helps us to keep the event non-ticketed. We only rely on voluntary donations which help to keep the wheels spinning.
Durgabari Inc, was incorporated in the state of Massachusetts in 2013 as a 501 (c)(3) organization We are a group of enthusiastic volunteers from the Indian diaspora who have been working towards providing a platform for community gathering, promoting Indian art & culture, serving community kitchen, fostering diversity awareness around Indian religious festivals.

We envision creating a Community Center for the Indian diaspora in Massachusetts in the near future, to pursue our multifaceted plans of community development. Our volunteers are highly educated and have the capability of providing skill development classes in STEAM areas, thereby creating human resource development opportunities across communities.
